JAMESTOWN, ND

JAMESTOWN,  ND    February 17, 2013
     Sunday we drove to visit Jamestown Branch which is about 93 miles west of Fargo.  We made it safely although we know of 7 accidents on the route.  The wind was blowing and with the cold weather it caused icy spots on the freeway.  We went this Sunday knowing that is was their "linger longer".  We visited with several of the seminary students and their families.  Sister Berning attended the Young Women class and Elder Berning visited the Young Men/ Priesthood meetings.  It was a great visit and lots of yummy food.

200,000 miles

On our way to Jamestown, ND our odometer turned to 200, 000 miles.  We have had little trouble with this car and feel blessed to have it reach this mileage.   PRESS  FORWARD !!

ZONE CONFERENCE

Valentine's Day!!  Zone Conference in Fargo, ND.  It was a full day meeting with the missionaries and President and Sister Anderson.  Breakfast and Lunch were provided.  There were inspiring messages by the missionaries and President and Sister Anderson.  So great to be among the dedicated missionaries and feel of their spirit and enthusiasm.

Sunday morning we got a call that church was cancelled because of weather.  Seminary was also cancelled Monday morning and so were some of the schools.  We were to get 40 mile an hour winds??  We stayed home.  Here is a picture of the snow covered trees, etc.  Also, Elder Berning saw this truck stuck in the road in front of our window with the lights on about 4:00 AM.  About 7:00 AM another truck came to help pull him out.

The day was full of activities:  Seminary activities with Scripture mastery games, lunch, dance, roller skating and an inservice meeting for the seminary and institute teachers. There were about 50-55 youth and also their leaders.  It was a great success.  Lots of fun for everyone.

Fargo SEMINARY Class

Fargo SEMINARY Class    February 1, 2013

We visited this Seminary class on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 6:10 AM.  It was -21 degrees and this is cold.  The wind wasn't blowing too much yet.  The class has three teachers. They alternate weeks in teaching.  Brother Gray was the teacher this week.  They were very wide awake and had a fun time playing a Scripture Mastery game during part of the class time.  We have visited several times and always take donuts and chocolate milk.  They like to have us come. There were 19 there this morning.
